Playing Naturally

Playing Naturally

"Wow, I never imagined this was here" exclaimed an amazed mum as she and her children poked their heads around the gate of the Bethnal Green Nature Reserve on Middleton St, E2.

The Keep Playing team spent a lovely afternoon on 10th October introducing children and their families to the space and encouraging them to explore, play and discover. We also had clay, wool and conkers on hand to inspire creative play.

The gardens are cared for by local residents and are a fantastic woodland hideaway. They are also home to many medicinal plants and a pond.

Unfortunately the gardens are only open on Fridays during the summer months but thanks to Help a Capital Child funding we had the opportunity to do one more event so we couldn't resisit an autumnal nature play event there.

Take a look at our exceedingly short animation of some things that participants found in the woods that day.
