Keep Playing exhibition and celebration
Its March 2015 and by the end of the month our 4 year Big Lottery funded Keep Playing project finishes!
In these 4 years we've worked with Tower Hamlets Registered Social Landlords and thousands of children and families to improve play for children.
There have been hundreds of play sessions and events, some funded by landlords who recognise the value of play within the community.
We've met some amazing people who have worked with us to make a difference to play where they live, there have been big changes and small changes to play spaces on estates.
To celebrate the work of the project we had an event in Feb half term, showing the work that has happened and starting the discussion with families about what next.
Children (and some adults) made badges, origami and dressed up for photos in The Mighty Booth. At Weavers Adventure playground pedal power made tasty fruit smoothies and flour filled stress balls made a fine mess.
Thanks to everyone who has been involved, we will apply to the Big Lottery for more funding to continue working with local families to create more playful communities.
If you have ideas of what you want for play where you live in Tower Hamlets please e-mail us via the PATH web site
